“I made my own dock a couple of years ago. What a mess! With the new dock we bought from you, it not only looks great but we can add to it and modify it, which is the best part. I recommend FWM Docks to everyone I know. Your docks are top notch and buying your product is the right move if you care about your waterfront, boat and family.”

“FWM Docks are great to deal with. The salesmen are very helpful in figuring out exactly what application works best in your environment. I was able to go right to the factory and pick up my dock with plenty of help and guidance. Now I have people rowing and boating up to the dock just to write down the manufacturer’s information — definitely a big hit on the lake.”

“Great customer service and an awesome group to deal with. Already own 140 ft of their dock and I wouldn’t go with any other manufacturer”

FAQs

Are floating docks safe for industrial projects?

Floating docks are safe for use in relatively calm bodies of water, i.e., those with waves no higher than 3’. With a 13’ freeboard and commercial-grade flotation drums, both FWM Aluminum Floating Docks and plastic EZ Docks provide safe, stable platforms for waterside or marine construction sites. Both materials are suited for saltwater, but be aware that aluminum will oxidize over time and may require buffing with a Scotch Brite pad.

Can I leave an industrial dock in the water year-round?

If your region experiences freezing temperatures in the winter, you may not be able to use an aluminum floating work platform year-round. Aluminum floating docks should not be left in the water during the winter, as ice can damage their infrastructure. EZ Docks, however, can be left in the water year-round. Though the polyethylene product itself is safe in the ice, it’s best to consult a dock specialist to discuss any site-specific variables that could increase the risk of damage.

What’s the weight capacity of a floating industrial dock?

Our FWM Aluminum Docks can support 1,515–2,364 lbs., while the plastic EZ Docks can support 1,000–4,000 lbs.
